Is
your Yahoo! Store broken? Need a pro to make it profitable?
Scott Clark has been developing Yahoo Stores since 1997. As a Yahoo Store Expert, he doesn't just know the "technical" side, but the business side as well.
PUTTING UP A YAHOO STORE IS NOT ENOUGH TO MAKE MONEY ON THE WEB.
Yahoo Store Development Projects - Yahoo Merchant Solutions
If you're looking to develop a Yahoo Merchant Solutions project from scratch, I will help you develop a simple checklist so you can get going on your end. If you're revising an existing store, a different check-list will make sense. I will audit your current store to obtain that.
My approach is different than most Yahoo! Store designers. I do not design from a visual-first approach. I design from a user-first method. I want to know your customer and what their likely habits will be upon entering your store, what leven of detail they'll want about products, and what your competition is doing.
There is a simple rule in web development (and all retail development for that matter):
Do your best to develop what you think the customer will like the first time, and then divorce yourself from that design emotionally. Observe and measure the performance of your site (page views, conversions, abandonment) and begin the development of a second design that addresses your best estimate of the problem. Put the two designs head-to-head. Keep the one that works best. Repeat.
Yahoo Store Development - Ala Carte Consultation
Email for availability, please.
I
will review your situation quickly, and in about 90% of all cases be
able to assist you with "broken store" issues quickly. Types of fixes available:
- Messed up pages, misalignments.
- Lost product pages.
- Lost category pages.
- Uploading your store data.
- Image problems.
- Order form errors.
What if you are unable to fix our
issue?
It happens. Some things just take too long to repair and
that's a fact of life. Be aware that I make a good faith
attempt to repair an issue. If it's apparent after a few
minutes that this is a bigger-scale issue, your charge will be
refunded. If we make good progress fixing things and hit
a wall later, the charge stands.
Furthermore,
some stores are so badly broken that any attempt to fix them would
bring them down like a house of cards. You must have a
backup of everything before you call me, that is your
responsibility.
What if you partially solve the
problem?
I will charge a fair price for this situation. It doesn't
happen that much.
What if I just hang up while you're
helping us?
You will be charged for the time spent on the phone, even if the
issue wasn't repaired, and your name may be sent to my Yahoo!
developers peer group. Please don't do this.
What if I
have separate issues?
These are treated as if they are new calls.
How about weekend and
evening hours?
At present, not offered. I need a life so the shop
closes at 5:30pm EST each day. |
