A big part of the search engines' linking process is a sites' ""reputation"" among other sites in the same market-space. If many relevant sites link to yours, it implies you're important, and therefore worthy of a higher ranking. With more important sites ranked near the top of search results, web searchers have a better experience. If searchers have a better experience, the search engines' property value goes up. I focus on how and why people search for your product or service, not how the search engines work. The ""organic"" search engines (such as Yahoo Search, Google web results, MSN, and others) are all tuned to index based on relevance of content, not specific tags or layouts. I will work with you to review searches actually done, patterns of language, and determining what relevant content that will attract the search engines no matter how they work. Once this content is gathered and substantial, the textual structure, links, HTML validity will be tuned to make it easy for the engines to find your content. A few techniques for using headlines, link text, and site maps can really help. See the case studies under the services page for more information. Case Studies |
