How do you optimize a website for Google?

Next Question  >>

Google rules. If your site is not well listed on Google, you are facing a significant hurdle in building the traffic on your site in an economical way. Google utilizes a mechanism known as page rank to establish position for sites. Page rank is established using a complex, and secret, algorithm that is known to consider relevance the primary consideration. Relevance is computed using linking neighborhoods (sites which are most relevent get linked to most often) and keywords in title, content, and link text.

So, for Google, establishing a clean linking strategy, good content, and appropriate, well written titles and link text are key. Site Creations' role in this is to first establish your internal condition (content, titles, links, etc.) and then attempt to build your site into popular areas of your link neighborhood. There are no quick and dirty fixes for Google. Google 'knows' about link farms, cheats, etc. and in more than 95% of the cases where people try the quick-and-dirty tactics, they end up losing.
